Artist's Description
This is an abstract glacier painting from my collection, Glaciers Gone. Most of the paintings in this collection reference actual glaciers, although there are others that take a particular theme, such as this one, "Glaciology". The glaciers of the world are disappearing at an astounding rate. The reasons for this may be disputed by some but there is no doubt it is occurring. My purpose in creating these paintings is to raise awareness of the situation and to explore in a unique way the idea of disappearance, as well as the broader of themes of humans and nature or humans vs. nature.. This is the 25th painting in the collection.
